On November 2, 2024, the Consulate General of Algeria in New York, in partnership with the Algerian Solidarity Foundation (ASF) and the HAWA organization, celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Glorious Algerian Revolution in San Francisco. This memorable occasion brought Algerian families across California together in a patriotic and joyous atmosphere.

In the presence of the Algerian Consul General in New York, Mr. Omar BOUFEDJI, and members of the consular team, along with the newly appointed Consul General in San Francisco, Mr. Farouk REMACH, their attendance underscored the Consulate’s dedication to serving and connecting with Algerian communities across the United States.

As part of the anniversary celebrations, a Q&A session with community members was held on November 1 in San Jose, San Francisco, where attendees could ask questions and receive information about various consular services.

The main ceremony on November 2 opened with speeches from Mr. Boufedji and the leaders of both ASF and HAWA. In his address, Mr. Boufedji emphasized the importance of commemorating Algeria’s national milestones to inspire future generations and honor the sacrifices of our ancestors.

The program included a variety of engaging activities:
